Reduce FireFox Memory Usage when Minimized & Speed up Firefox

If there is one drawback about Firefox that would be it takes too much memory even when minimized. It may even reach close to hundred Megabytes. Here is sweet little hack that lets you Reduce FireFox Memory Usage when Minimized.

1. Type about:config in the Firefox address bar and press Enter.
2. Right click in the page and select New > Boolean.
3. Type config.trim_on_minimize in the box that pops up. Press Enter.
4. Select True and then press Enter.
5. Restart Firefox.

But before you spill your red bull in excitement the change is just temporary and the memory usage climbs back after sometime to about 50 MB.
