Apple iPhone Carrier update for France & Germany

After Apple choose O2 as the selected carrier for the 18 month contract that comes with the iPhone. Its the turn of France and Germany.

For France, Orange to be the chosen one to get the contract and in Germany it is going to be T-mobile.

There are rumors that it could be Rogers Wireless to get the exclusive iphone contract in canada.

Frankly the iPhone contract is a major iPain in the iButt ! Why can't they just sell the unlocked version and sell the contracted version at a subsidy? They very well know that the unlock will be available soon ! I guess the only person who can answer is "Genius" Steve Jobs.
